The Breath That Soothes Me

Right now, my son and I are visiting family for the holidays and are sharing a room. As always, my mind was running a mile a minute last night when trying to get to sleep. I am constantly thinking of the million things that need to get done in what always seems like such a short amount of time. While fighting with myself to stop thinking and go to sleep, I catch the sound of my sons breath as he sleeps beside me. At home, he has his own room and sleeps in his crib so I never realized how peaceful and soothing it was to just listen. Instantly, instead of worrying about time and money and those little things that seem to eat you up each day, I melted into my bed with only thoughts of how much I truly love that little boy beside me... Motherhood and Blogging: A new beginning

Photo by PhotoStockI recently read a blog post that inspired me to begin my new life as a mom by sharing each moment with the world. Writing has always been a passion of mine but, like so many other desirable things, got put on the back-burner in order to fuel my spiraling life. Since I can remember, I have always used writing as an escape from the world and made it my only true friend that would listen to anything I had to say. I would write when I was in pain, or angry, or frustrated and didn’t know any other way to express my feelings.
