Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is one of my favorite healthy food items. I go through TONS of this at home each month by using it in place of my normal cooking oils like olive oil or vegetable oil.  I also put coconut oil in my daily health shakes for its nutritional purposes.  Coconut oil is slowly becoming more known and used but many still do not know how great this product is for your body, inside and out. Almost half of the fatty acid in Coconut oil is lauric acid, which converts to the fatty acid monolaurin. Monolaurin is something that is naturally found in breast milk and helps to fight off bacteria and infection in the body. Studies have shown that monolaurin helps with viruses like bronchitis, the flu, herpes, HIV… the list keeps going.

Tropical Traditions has produced their Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil, a fresh and pure coconut oil product. I have tried many different brands of coconut oil and notice that each one has a slightly different taste. Tropical Tradition’s version is one of the better oils I have tried. Their oil does not have an overly strong coconut taste which I prefer. Because I use this in things like cakes and savory dishes, I do not always like tasting coconut in everything. I noticed with a couple of the brands I purchased that the taste is super strong to the point where I only like to use that particular oil in health shakes, fruity dishes, or on my body (its amazing as a moisturizer!). Tropical Traditions is the perfect example of an oil that can be used in just about anything. The taste is mild but it still has all of the same amazing health benefits.

Make sure to check out the Tropical Traditions website and read about more of the great benefits of coconut oil. If you sign up for their email list, you will also get emails with discount codes and deals!
